Kim Hoffman- Wilson, Poteau Mainstreet Matters, Inc. DBA Historic Downtown Poteau Board President and board member for 2 years, is the Owner/Buyer of Downtown’s renowned boutique, The Purple Plume. Kim is the CFO for JoB Const. Co., Inc., a family owned and operated business for 50 years. She enjoys working and giving back her time to the community she loves. Kim is a lifelong resident of Poteau, OK. She and her husband, Tim Wilson, have two children, Grant and Gabba Wilson.
Jennifer Henshaw McBee, Poteau Mainstreet Matters, Inc. DBA Historic Downtown Poteau Legal Advisor, currently serves as a Special District Judge in LeFlore County. She previously served Pittsburg County as a Special District Judge for two years. Prior to taking the bench, she was an owner of a civil law firm and worked for twelve years as a Tribal attorney and Tribal prosecutor for various Tribes. She served as the Attorney General to the Seminole Nation for ten years, and had an active civil trial practice in both state and federal courts, along with a federal administrative and regulatory practice.
McBee earned her Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma University, College of Law where she was awarded the Order of Barristers. McBee also studied International Law at Oxford University, and was a graduate with honors from the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics: Interdisciplinary Legal Advocacy Training.
McBee served as a member of Governor Keating’s Advisory Task Force on the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, and the designee of Governor Henry to the Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission. She worked as a federal consultant for six years to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services regarding states’ compliance with federal child welfare laws.
McBee also served on the Board of Regents to Carl Albert State College. McBee is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and is a member of the Poteau Women’s League. She lives in Poteau with her husband and son.
Jennifer Cox, Poteau Mainstreet Matters, Inc. DBA Historic Downtown Poteau Board Secretary, is a Licensed Professional Counselor/ Clinical Director at Meadow Brook Outpatient Treatment Facility. She has worked in the mental health field for twelve years. Jennifer received her Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science from Mid-America Christian University. She later earned her Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and went on to pursue her counseling license. Jennifer lives in Howe, OK with her husband and three kids.
Pat Landrum Gillham, Poteau Mainstreet Matters, Inc. DBA Historic Downtown Poteau board member, is the owner/ operator of Northside Liquor since 2006. Previous to that, Pat worked for Tote-A-Poke #4 and #6 for 18 years and managed the City Pool for a summer. She is a native of Poteau, and is currently serving on the Planning Commission of the City of Poteau. She also previously served as Volunteer Coordinator at Peachtree Hospice, two terms with the Poteau Chamber of Commerce, and served on the board for the Boys and Girls Club of Leflore County.
Nikki McKimmey, Poteau Mainstreet Matters, Inc. DBA Historic Downtown Poteau board member, is the Co-owner, Creative Director, and Executive of Accounts at McKimmey Marketing and Productions, where Nikki coordinates creative design on products, advertising accounts, and marketing materials. She also oversees the daily interaction with clients and the community, providing professional etiquette and quality customer service. Jill Ward, Poteau Mainstreet Matters, Inc. DBA Historic Downtown Poteau board member is a LeFlore County native. A graduate of Poteau High School, Carl Albert State College and Northeastern State University where she graduated with honors with a B.S Ed in Family & Consumer Sciences in 1999. She has been a small business owner since 2003 and became a Certified Holistic Health Coach in 2011 with the goal of teaching others in her local community how to improve their health, one bite at a time. Jill has 10 plus years experience in the education field, most recently at Kiamichi Technology Center, Poteau Campus as the Culinary Arts Instructor.
She also served as the LeFlore County Family and Consumer Sciences Educator for Oklahoma State University Extension, where she was an active member of the Healthy Oklahoma Impact Team and Advisor to the Oklahoma Home and Community Education Program.
When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking, volunteering and traveling. Jill and her husband, Chris reside in Poteau and are both active volunteers in their community.
